PLANNING A BAR OR BAT MITZVAH ?

A Bar or Mat Mitzvah is a special time in the life of your child. It is a time of transition and marks the beginning of a maturation process for your child which lasts many years. The very act of getting up all alone in front of a crowded Synagogue and reciting the prayers and Haftorah changes one forever. A Bar/Bat Mitzvah is more than this, however. It is a formal declaration in public that your child wants to be a part of the Jewish people and is willing to live his or her life as an adult Jew according to the teachings of Judaism. This is a very serious committment, one that is basic to Jewish survival in our time.

At Temple beth Emunah, we would like to help you in every way possible to make your child's Bar or bat Mitzvah a truly significant and memorable experience for your child and your family.
