Dave Brinnel

Once known to Western Mass radio audiences as WRNX's "Dave in the Morning", Dave Brinnel is a veteran nightclub performer, having spent twenty-five years singing and playing piano in venues throughout the northeast.  A lifetime fan of Sherman's work, he conceived this project as a means of bringing this greatly overlooked classic comedy to a new audience.

“The response so far has been very positive”, says Brinnel.  “The most frequent comment I’ve heard is ‘My Parents used to listen to those albums all the time!’”  Sherman’s albums, including “My Son the Celebrity” and “My Son the Nut” were staple items in Jewish and non-Jewish homes throughout the 1960’s.

Brinnel is also creative director at Sound Gems, an East Longmeadow Massachusetts agency that creates jingles, radio spots, and  tv spots for businesses of all sizes.
